- Research potential vendors based on BOQ Item
- Good knowledge of all construction related products.
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing with maximum credit period
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery on site
- Review quality of purchased products from site team
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed with site team coordination
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends for latest brand and materials.
- Yearly 5% saving from existing purchase amount.
- Preparing comparative statement after proper analysis of offers both technically and commercially.
Requirements and skill
- Proven 6-10 years’ work experience as a Purchasing Executive in construction industry only.
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Hands-on experience with purchasing
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Negotiation skills
- Good speaking skills
