| 1) Procurement of raw material from market. 2) Monitor stock level and identify purchasing needs. 3) Evaluating vendor offers & negotiating the price, delivery schedule and terms & conditions with them. 4) Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. 5) Track orders and ensure timely delivery. 6) Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts. 7) Implementing standard operating procedures within the stores. 8) Implementing systems to avoid situations like over-stocking or out-of-stock which cause production and financial losses. 9) Effective management of vendor database. 10) ABC classification of vendors on the basis of criteria like cost, quality, timely delivery etc. 11) Research & development of new vendors. 12) Running programs to evaluate vendors based on the feedback from internal stake holders. 13) Liaison with the production department to maintain optimum inventory. 14) Liaison with finance department for timely payment of bills. 15) Developing reports on procurement and usage of material for top management. 16) Developing reports on various programs run for vendor development for top management.. 17) Keep track on supply of mtrl for projects to avoid duplicity of orders.
