Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer / Tender Engineer to manage the complete lifecycle of tendering and estimation processes for interior and civil projects. This role involves rate analysis, vendor coordination, cost comparisons, and working closely with clients, architects, and consultants. The ideal candidate will be capable of preparing competitive and winning tenders by evaluating BOQ, technical drawings, and market trends.
Project Type - Civil Engineering, Interiors, Government & PSU Projects
You will play a key role in identifying the most cost-effective and technically sound strategies to win bids while maintaining profitability and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Preparation & Rate Finalization
1.Analyze BOQ, drawings, and designs in the tender documents to prepare accurate estimates.
2. Arrive at competitive tender winning rates in coordination with management.
3.Get vendor quotes based on approved materials and brands.
4. Perform detailed rate analysis and comparative studies with competitor rates.
5. Evaluate and track competitor pricing trends.
Client & Consultant Coordination
1. Visit project sites and attend pre-bid meetings with clients, architects, and consultants.
2. Gather insights from meetings to finalize winning rate strategies.
3. Build relationships to strengthen business development and tender acceptance chances.
Standardization & Documentation
1. Prepare standardized rate formats and ensure accuracy in documentation.
2. Develop comparative statements of rates for internal analysis and approval.
Team Support & Training
1. Guide and train junior team members on rate analysis and estimation procedures.
2. Assist in building an efficient process-driven tendering team.
Operational & Managerial Duties
1. Coordinate with procurement teams for best rates on materials and labor.
2. Support MIS reporting and internal reviews for pricing strategies and profitability.
3. Multitask and manage deadlines for multiple tenders simultaneously.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Qualification: Civil Engineer / Interior Designer / Architect
• Experience: 5–8 years in estimation, tendering, or cost engineering roles
• Key Skills:
1. Rate analysis and cost estimation
2. BOQ and drawing understanding
3. Vendor coordination and negotiation
4. Microsoft Office proficiency
5.Strong communication and presentation skills
6. Innovative and analytical mindset
• Languages: Proficient in English, Hindi, and one regional language
