Resident Medical officer

Responsibilities:

1.Provide medical care and maintain accurate medical records under the guidance of consultants.
2.Examine and manage newly admitted patients and conduct ward rounds with consultants.
3.Ensure timely execution of prescribed treatments, investigations, and patient care.
4.Obtain informed consent for procedures and maintain patient confidentiality.
5.Handle emergency cases, provide necessary outpatient care, and maintain medico-legal records.
6.Facilitate smooth discharge processes, including preparation of e-discharge summaries and communication with billing.
7.Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain detailed, signed medical records.
8.Actively participate in training programs, CMEs, and clinical development initiatives.
9.Communicate effectively with consultants, patients, and their families regarding treatment and progress.

Key Requirements:

Strong understanding of patient care protocols and medical record-keeping.
Ability to manage emergencies and medico-legal cases efficiently.
Commitment to continuous learning and team collaboration.

General Sign-off
1.Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean. Wear furnished identification badege.
2.Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
3.Work is performed during regular work hours, but may require overtime and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines.
4.Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
5.Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
6.Do not leave for day without giving proper handover to reliever.
7.Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
8.Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
9.Attend regular staff meetings and in-services.
