Estimation Engineer / Technical & Commercial Proposal

Job Summary:
Opening for an Estimation Engineer – Technical & Commercial Proposals with 2 to 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry; candidate must hold a Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and be proficient in Excel, Word, and CAD tools; salary up to ₹4.80 LPA.

"Key Responsibilities:
1. Study and evaluate customer RFQs (Request for Quotations) related to mechanical seals and sealing systems.
2. Prepare technical proposals including seal selection, material specifications, dimensional compatibility, and performance criteria.
3. Prepare commercial proposals, including pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
4. Liaise with design, production, and procurement teams to gather cost and lead time estimates.
5. Interpret customer specifications, datasheets, and P&IDs for proper seal selection and customization.
6. Ensure proposals are aligned with industry standards (API 682, ISO, etc.).
7. Maintain a proposal database with pricing history, technical clarifications, and standard templates.
8. Coordinate with clients for technical and commercial clarifications.
9. Support the sales team during pre-bid meetings and negotiations.

Key Skills & Competencies:
1. Understanding of mechanical seals, seal types (single, double, cartridge), and application knowledge.
2. Familiarity with costing, estimation, and pricing methodologies.
3. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and CAD tools for drawing review and documentation.
4. Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
5. Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams and customers.

Preferred Background:
1.Experience in mechanical seals, rotating equipment, or process equipment industry.
2.Exposure to API, pump/seal applications in oil & gas, chemical, or power sectors is a plus"
