Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 6 to 7 years of experience in Product Design & Development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in designing mechanical components using any of the following software: AutoCAD with any software like Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, CREO, or Siemens NX. Candidates must hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and be below 45 years of age. The role involves end-to-end mechanical design, drafting, and 3D modeling for product development projects. With a negotiable salary budget for the right candidate.
Travelling Details:
The job location is approximately 8 km from Vasai Railway Station, with a travel time of around 23 minutes to reach Dhumal Nagar.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components and systems using CAD tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
- Create 3D models and design concepts, and develop physical prototypes to validate product feasibility.
- Prepare technical drawings and documentation aligned with ISO 9001 standards for manufacturing and assembly.
- Select suitable materials considering mechanical properties, cost, and environmental factors.
- Perform stress and tolerance analysis using FEA/CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, Fluent) to validate design strength and durability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, procurement, and quality departments to ensure effective product development.
- Redesign and optimize existing products for improved performance, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manufacturing.
- Ensure design compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
- Identify and resolve design or engineering issues during development, testing, and production stages.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD tools: AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, CREO, NX.
- Experience with FEA tools: ANSYS, Abaqus.
- Experience with CFD tools: Fluent, COMSOL.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill), and core manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals: Kinematics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics.
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and precision in design work.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative and proactive approach.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified SolidWorks or Inventor Professional.
- Autodesk Certified Professional.
- Six Sigma certification (preferred, but not mandatory).
