Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and passionate Business Development Manager – Waterproofing who will play a key role in generating new business opportunities and building long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and government authorities. The role involves market research, client interaction, proposal development, networking, and participation in tendering to grow the company's presence in waterproofing projects.

The candidate must be able to represent the company confidently in presentations, events, and meetings, while identifying and converting new leads into successful projects.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Identify, approach, and build strong relationships with consultants, clients, and government authorities.
  • Research market trends and provide detailed feedback and competitor analysis to management.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and association conferences to network and gather business intelligence.
  • Build proposals aligned with client requirements, objectives, and concerns.
  • Participate actively in tendering and pricing discussions.

Marketing & Sales Strategy

  • Present the company’s capabilities to various departments and clients with clear, professional presentations.
  • Promote the company through networking with material suppliers, sales teams from related industries (chemical, tiles, paints, ceilings), and consultants.
  • Develop winning sales strategies and plan client pitches accordingly.

Revenue Growth & Team Coordination

  • Generate consistent business with a goal to achieve minimum 15% profitability for the company.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to prepare client-focused solutions.
  • Handle client objections tactfully and negotiate contracts.

General Management

  • Manage and track the entire sales funnel from lead generation to closure.
  • Multitask across various business development initiatives and maintain high responsiveness.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in waterproofing business development or civil industry sales
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication, public speaking, and negotiation skills
    • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency
    • Market analysis and lead generation
    • Confidence in client presentations and proposal writing
    • Excellent networking and relationship-building ability
  • Languages: Fluent in English, Hindi, and one regional language
  • Attitude: Go-getter, passionate, committed, and result-oriented
