Automation Engineer cum Designer

Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer or Senior Engineer with expertise in SPM (Special Purpose Machine) design and proficiency in SolidWorks software. The ideal candidate should possess leadership and supervisory skills, have experience in handling small/miniature components (preferably from the fastener or watch assembly industry), and demonstrate fluency in English. A Company Bus facility is available for candidates from Thane, Kalyan, Dombivli, Badlapur, and Virar and Approximately 1 hour travelling distance from all location to company.

For candidates from outside the location, the company will provide full conveyance expenses covered by the company. However, accommodation facilities will not be provided. For candidates applying from outside the location, the first round of the interview will be conducted virtually.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement technical and commercial plant automation solutions, including hardware and software (Electrical & Mechanical).
2. Design and execute SPMs for productivity and safety improvements.
3. Create electrical control panel designs for SPMs and implement PLC and HMI programming.
4. Work on SCADA programming (preferred but not mandatory).
5. Identify and develop vendors for SPM manufacturing.
6. Continuously upgrade skills and build competency to meet evolving industry demands.
7. Participate in strategy development for automation and identify productivity enhancement opportunities by studying process flows, structures, and business models.

Managerial Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate contractual and commercial awareness.
2. Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
3. Act as an effective coach and mentor for team members.
4. Provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to the Automation Engineering team.
5. Drive team collaboration and ensure effective team performance.
6. Maintain a self-motivated and proactive approach to tasks.

Desired Skill Set:
• Strong knowledge of SPM design using SolidWorks software.
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming.
• Familiarity with SCADA programming (preferred).
• Expertise in electrical and mechanical aspects of automation.
• Experience with small/miniature component handling, preferably in the fastener or watch assembly industries.
• Vendor development and management experience for SPM manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, motivational, and coaching skills.
