Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced VMC Supervisor with 8–10 years of experience in CNC/VMC machining. The candidate should have strong knowledge of VMC programming, production planning, Mastercam, machine operations, and team handling. The role will be responsible for managing shop-floor activities, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth machine utilization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and schedule daily and monthly VMC production activities as per customer requirements and production targets.
2. Prepare production plans considering machine capacity, manpower, tooling, and material availability.
3. Handle VMC programming, setting, and operation for various components.
4. Prepare, modify, and optimize CNC/VMC programs to improve productivity  and machining efficiency.
5. Should have good working knowledge of Mastercam for programming and toolpath generation.
6. Read and understand engineering drawings, component drawings, GD&T, and machining specifications.
7. Monitor machine loading, cycle time, tool life, rejection, and overall machine productivity.
8. Ensure production is completed within the required quality, quantity, and delivery timelines.
9. Supervise and guide VMC operators, setters, and shop-floor personnel.
10. Allocate manpower and machines according to production priorities.
11. Identify and resolve machining, programming, tooling, and production-related issues.
12. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Tool Room, and Production Planning teams.
13. Ensure proper machine setup, tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
14. Monitor rejection, rework, and downtime and take corrective actions.
15. Maintain production records, shift reports, machine utilization, and other required MIS.
16. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and 5S practices on the shop floor.
17. Train and develop operators and setters to improve productivity and technical skills.

1. Strong knowledge of VMC programming and setting.
2. Practical knowledge of Mastercam.
3. Strong production planning and scheduling skills.
4. Good knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
5. Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
6. Strong team handling and leadership skills.
7. Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
8. Knowledge of production monitoring, rejection control, and productivity improvement.
9. Good communication and coordination skills.
10. Knowledge of 5S, safety, and shop-floor discipline.
