Job Role
The Senior Sales Executive acts as the link between the machinery manufacturer and customers such as factories, production plants, engineering companies, and industrial businesses. The role involves identifying opportunities, presenting technical solutions, negotiating contracts, and supporting customers throughout the sales cycle.
Important Note:
- Candidate must have experience in engineering product sales.
- Experience in industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, automation, machine tools, or capital equipment sales will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Identify and approach potential customers in target industries.
- Generate new leads through networking, referrals, exhibitions, and market research.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share.
2. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and present machinery proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with customers.
- Convert inquiries into confirmed orders.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits and follow-ups.
- Handle customer concerns and coordinate solutions with internal teams.
4. Technical Sales Support
- Understand machinery specifications, applications, and technical features.
- Recommend suitable equipment based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate technical presentations, demonstrations, and trials.
- Work closely with engineering and service teams.
5. Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitors' products, pricing, and market activities.
- Identify industry trends and customer needs.
- Provide feedback to management regarding market opportunities.
6. Order Processing & Coordination
- Follow up on quotations and purchase orders.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and installation teams.
- Ensure timely delivery and successful commissioning of machines.
7. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain customer records and sales pipeline in CRM software.
- Prepare sales forecasts and activity reports.
- Track sales performance and market developments.
