2. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance of fabricated equipment (Reactors, Heat Exchangers, Distillation Columns, Pressure Vessels) with quality standards and industry codes (ASME, API, TEMA).
2. Supervise third-party inspections, including dye penetrant testing, radiography, ultrasonic testing, and hydraulic/pneumatic pressure testing.
3. Conduct material testing, WPS/PQR documentation, and welding/fabrication quality checks.
4. Coordinate with NABL-certified labs for required pre- and post-fabrication testing.
5. Verify inspections as per client specifications and provide quality assurance reports.
6. Maintain QA/QC documentation, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
7. Implement and improve quality systems in line with ISO/QMS standards.
Day-to-Day Activities:
1. Conduct regular shop floor inspections at the manufacturing site.
2. Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, welding examinations, and NDT coordination.
3. Liaise with production teams, clients, and third-party inspectors to ensure smooth workflow.
Required Experience & Skills:
1. 5-7 years of QA/QC experience in fabrication of chemical/pharma process equipment.
2. Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and TEMA standards, as well as welding protocols (WPS/PQR).
3. Hands-on experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
4. Strong documentation and reporting skills in compliance with ISO/QMS.
5. Excellent communication and coordination skills for client and inspector interactions.
