Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Sales Head to lead our Pan-India sales operations for industrial and manufacturing machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, developing strategic customer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team, including senior sales managers and regional sales leaders. The role requires strong expertise in B2B capital equipment sales, industrial solutions, channel development, and key account management across India.

Important Note:

  •  Candidate must have experience in engineering product sales.
  •  Experience in industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, automation, machine tools, or capital equipment sales will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Develop and execute Pan-India sales strategies to achieve annual revenue and profitability targets.
  • Drive sales of manufacturing machinery, industrial equipment, automation solutions, and related products.
  • Identify new business opportunities across automotive, engineering, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, packaging, metal, plastics, and other manufacturing sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, EPC companies, and industrial decision-makers.
  • Lead negotiations for large-value contracts and strategic deals.

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage regional sales managers, senior sales executives, and business development teams.
  • Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the sales organization.
  • Conduct regular sales reviews, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
  • Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and results.

3. Key Account Management

  • Develop and manage relationships with major industrial customers and strategic accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
  • Drive repeat business and cross-selling opportunities.

4. Market Expansion

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop market penetration strategies for new territories and industries.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, trade fairs, seminars, and customer events.

5. Sales Operations & Forecasting

  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and annual business plans.
  • Monitor sales pipeline and conversion rates through CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with marketing, application engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.

6. Channel & Dealer Management

  • Develop and strengthen distributor, dealer, and channel partner networks across India.
  • Monitor channel partner performance and drive sales effectiveness.

7. Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years in a leadership role managing regional or national sales teams.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding Pan-India sales targets.
  • Experience handling senior sales professionals and multi-location teams.
