Purchase Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager with 8 to 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Graduates must have at least 7 years of experience in an engineering company. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in vendor management, procurement planning, and cost control. Ability to read AutoCAD drawings is required. Candidates should hold a Graduate, Diploma, or BE in Mechanical Engineering. The role involves managing end-to-end purchasing and supplier development for metals, specialty processes, advanced machining, and related manufacturing requirements. The salary offered will be ₹10 lakh per annum.

Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Management & Sourcing:
1. Identify and manage suppliers for forgings, castings, ferrous, and non-ferrous metals.
2. Develop sourcing strategies for specialty processes, such as heat treatment, coatings, welding, and plating.

2. Specialized Machining Sourcing:
1. Source suppliers capable of advanced machining techniques, including 5th Axis machining, EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining), and laser cutting.
2. Establish partnerships for metal finishing processes like polishing, grinding, and buffing.

3. Custom Tools & Materials:
1. Coordinate with suppliers for custom-made tools, instruments, and equivalent material sourcing to match specifications.
2. Develop and maintain sources for custom pressure die casting, plastic, and rubber molding needs.

4. Technical Expertise & Supplier Evaluation:
1. Review and interpret AutoCAD drawings to confirm supplier capability for accurate production.
2. Assess suppliers’ abilities in mechanical operations and ensure they meet quality and process standards.

5. Market Intelligence & Cost Optimization:
1. Stay updated on market trends, new processes, and innovations in the mechanical and machining sectors.
2. Negotiate and optimize costs while ensuring high-quality standards are met.
