Purchase Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering to handle the procurement of materials, components, and services for our pharma process equipment manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in an engineering or manufacturing company, with strong vendor negotiation skills and technical knowledge of mechanical items.

a) From Vasai Railway Station to the Company:

b) From Naigaon Railway Station to the Company:

c) Convenient train access is available. The company is just 5 minutes from Kaman station, with bike pickup provided by the company.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. Must have hands-on experience working in an engineering or manufacturing company.
2. Identify and develop reliable suppliers and vendors for raw materials, mechanical parts, and components.
3. Prepare and process purchase orders based on project and production needs.
4. Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contract terms with vendors.
5. Understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications provided by the design team.
6. Track and evaluate vendor performance regularly in terms of cost, quality, and timely delivery.
7. Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve issues related to supply delays or material quality.
8. Maintain procurement records, vendor files, and documentation as per ISO or company standards.
9. Support the inventory control team in maintaining optimum stock levels.
10. Contribute to cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
11. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and industry standards.
