We are hiring for a Plant Manager – Commercial, Accounts & Statutory job in Vasai East Dhumal Nagar. Candidate should have a minimum of 8 years’ experience, gender will be Male & age not more than 45 years, and have Qualification CA Appeared / Cost Accountant / MBA -Finance OR B.com. This vacancy is for the Manufacturing industry.
Job Responsibility
- Ensure complete ownership of plant-level accounting accuracy, including day-to-day factory accounting, proper classification by job, cost centre and plant, inventory and WIP correctness, reconciliations, validation, and accuracy of figures reflected in the plant Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
- Challenge, verify, and escalate incorrect or incomplete financial data received from production, stores, dispatch, purchase, or any other department, and ensure timely identification and closure of accounting issues.
- Take full responsibility for payroll and wage correctness at plant level, including attendance, shifts, overtime, wages, salaries, deductions, and statutory linkages with PF, ESIC and other labour compliances.
- Execute, coordinate, and ensure timely completion of all applicable plant-level statutory compliances, including GST registrations and returns, GST reconciliations, audits and notices, TDS deductions and returns, income-tax related compliances, and e-way bill requirements.
- Manage labour, factory and safety compliances such as PF, ESIC, labour welfare, minimum wages, bonus, gratuity, contract labour regulations, Factory Act licence requirements, Pollution Control Board compliances, CTE/CTO, fire safety norms, Fire NOC, and safety audits.
- Handle municipal, land and local authority compliances including property tax, trade licence, shop and establishment requirements, land records, lease deeds, NA permissions, inspections and statutory notices.
- Oversee plant-related insurance matters including fire insurance, asset and plant insurance, mandatory statutory insurance, renewals, and claims coordination.
- Represent the plant in interactions with statutory authorities, auditors, inspectors, vendors, insurers and consultants, including mandatory physical visits to government offices wherever required.
- Maintain plant-level commercial and payment discipline by coordinating with vendors, suppliers and contractors, verifying bills for correctness, authorising payments as applicable, and ensuring follow-ups until closure.
- Act as the plant-level owner of ERP and accounting systems by supporting implementation and changes, ensuring accuracy of masters and transactions, aligning system data with physical and statutory records, identifying control gaps or misuse, and escalating system risks.
- Ensure that no financial, statutory or compliance matter becomes a surprise to the business by proactively identifying risks, escalating non-routine or interpretation-sensitive matters, and ensuring complete resolution in line with governance requirements.
