FACTORY MANGER

JOB SUMMARY :

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to handle the overall production activities of our manufacturing unit at Vasai East.

The candidate will be responsible for production planning, production execution, manpower management, costing, quotation support and timely completion of production orders.

The position involves handling a production team of approximately 25 employees and ensuring smooth day-to-day production activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Handle and supervise a production team of approximately 25 employees.
2. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
3. Monitor production activities and ensure timely completion of orders.
4. Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
5. Monitor productivity and utilization of manpower and machines.
6. Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Design, Quality and Dispatch departments.
7. Ensure availability of required raw materials and components for production.
8. Monitor job progress and follow up on pending production activities.
9. Identify production delays and take corrective action.
10. Handle production-related technical and operational issues.
11. Understand engineering drawings, BOMs and technical specifications.
12. Coordinate machining, fabrication, assembly and other manufacturing activities.
13. Prepare and review costing for manufacturing jobs. 
14. Support preparation of quotations based on material, labour, machining, fabrication and other production costs.
15. Monitor actual production cost and control unnecessary expenses.
16. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors wherever required.
17. Ensure proper quality standards during production.
18. Reduce rejection, rework and material wastage.
19. Ensure production is completed as per customer requirements and delivery schedules.
20. Guide and supervise supervisors, operators and other shop-floor employees.
21. Maintain discipline and productivity on the shop floor.

Candidate Requirements

1. Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 18–25+ years of experience in engineering or machinery manufacturing.
3. Strong experience in Production Planning and Production Management.
4. Experience in costing and quotation preparation.
5. Good knowledge of machining, fabrication and assembly processes.
6. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOMs.
7. Experience in handling approximately 20–30+ production manpower.
8. Strong shop-floor management and problem-solving skills.
9. Good coordination with Purchase, Stores, Quality, Design and Dispatch teams.
10. Candidates should be capable of independently handling production operations.
11. Experience in customized machinery, industrial equipment, fabrication or stainless-steel equipment manufacturing will be preferred.

Salary

1. 75,000 – 1,00,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
2. Candidates with strong experience in Production, Planning, Costing/Quotation and manpower management can be considered up to 1,00,000 per month.
