Design Manager

Job Summary:
We are hiring for a Design Manager job in Vasai East, Chichpada, Waliv. Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, gender will be Any & age not more than 40 years, and have Qualification Bachelors or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Mechatronics. This vacancy is for the Manufacturing industry. Must have design  experience Surface treatment / Plating Machines / Bottle cleaning machine ultrasonic cleaning/industrial cleaning/electroplating/pressure washers. design experience  

Technical and Design Work
1.Handle the full design cycle from requirement analysis to final manufacturing documents.
2.Create and review 3D models, assemblies, detailed drawings and BOMs in SolidWorks.
3.Design tanks, chambers, structures, piping, jigs and fixtures for ultrasonic and industrial cleaning systems.
4.Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability standards (DFM, DFA, FMEA).
5.Lead design reviews and maintain a strong library of standard modules.

Process and Productivity
1.Set and follow design standards, templates and quality norms.
2.Improve workflows, introduce automation in repetitive tasks, and reduce design cycle time.
3.Manage document control and revision systems.

Cross-Functional Coordination
1.Work with Sales for proposals and layouts.
2.Coordinate with Projects, Production, QC and Procurement to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.
3.Join customer meetings for technical discussions.

Team Leadership
1.Lead and mentor a team of design engineers.
2.Allocate tasks, monitor progress and conduct performance reviews.
3.Build a culture of accuracy, discipline and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement
1.Drive value engineering, cost reduction and Kaizen activities.
2.Benchmark global products and upgrade designs.
3.Support R&D and new product development.
