Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities 

1. Design water slides, aqua play systems, splash pads, and structural supports
2. Prepare 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D fabrication drawings
3. Develop GA drawings, layout drawings, and installation drawings
4. Create BOMs, cutting lists, and fabrication details
5. Ensure designs comply with ASTM / EN / IAAPA water park safety standards
6. Coordinate with manufacturing, site execution, procurement, and quality teams
7. Support site-related modifications and installation clarifications
8. Optimize designs for performance, safety, ease of installation, and cost
9. Design and develop mechanical systems or components
10. To work during the entire lifecycle of a project as a mechanical designer (design and drafting)
11. Liaise with clients, the manufacturing and installation team to bring the brief to life through machine design projects
12. Monitor and document the design process, while managing the schedule and budgets for the project
13. Troubleshoot problems and devise solutions to resolve them
14. Report to the senior mechanical design engineers and report to the company regarding the status of each project
15. Research and keep up with the dynamic technology and trends in the mechanical design spectrum

Required Technical Knowledge  

• Mechanical design & fabrication processes 

• Structural members, fasteners, and welding basics

• GD&T, tolerances, and material selection (FRP, Steel, GI, HDPE)
