CNC ROUTER OPERATOR

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : 

CNC Router Operator & Programmer

We are looking for a skilled CNC Router Operator who is proficient in ArtCAM to join our production team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design and production. You will use ArtCAM to import designs, create detailed 2D/3D vectors and relief carves, generate optimal G-code/toolpaths, and physically operate our CNC router machines to cut, carve, and finish various materials.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : 

1. Programming & Toolpathing: Use Autodesk ArtCAM to design, modify, layout, and program 2D/3D carving files and multi-axis reliefs.
2. Machine Operation: Setup, calibrate, and safely operate 3-axis/4-axis CNC router machines according to daily production schedules.
3. Material & Tool Selection: Choose and load appropriate materials (wood, MDF, plastics, soft metals) and select correct router bits, feed rates, and depth tolerances.
4. Quality Control: Inspect finished pieces using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure exact match to blueprint or design specifications.
5. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic machine maintenance (dust collection, vacuum pumps, lubrication) and adjust parameters or troubleshoot errors mid-job.
6. Material Management: Efficiently nest files in ArtCAM to maximize material yield and reduce production waste.
