The Billing Engineer will be responsible for project billing, measurement, BOQ reconciliation, client certifications, subcontractor billing, and coordination for aluminium window and façade works in high-rise construction projects, ensuring timely and accurate revenue realization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Billing & Certification
Prepare Running Account (RA) Bills, Final Bills, and Variation Bills as per contract.
Measure executed aluminium window works (installation, fabrication, glazing, accessories) at site.
Submit bills to clients, consultants, and PMCs for certification.
Follow up for bill certification, approvals, and payments.
2. Measurement & BOQ Management
Take joint measurements with client/consultant representatives.
Prepare and update Measurement Sheets (MBs).
Reconcile executed quantities with Approved BOQs, Drawings, and Work Orders.
Identify and quantify extra items, deviations, and variations.
3. Contract & Documentation Control
Understand tender documents, BOQs, technical specifications, and payment terms.
Maintain billing-related documents: Approved drawings, Measurement sheets, Rate analysis, Variation statements.
Assist in claim preparation for extra items, delays, or scope changes.
4. Subcontractor & Vendor Billing
Verify subcontractor bills against actual site progress.
Certify quantities and prepare back-to-back billing.
Coordinate with procurement and accounts for payment processing.
5. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Planning & Design Teams, and Accounts & Finance Department.
Attend site meetings related to billing, measurements, and project progress.
6. MIS & Reporting
Maintain billing MIS including Billing vs target, Certification status, and Pending payments.
Provide weekly/monthly billing status reports to management.
Track project cash flow in coordination with accounts.
Eligibility / Experience
3–7 years of relevant experience in aluminium window / façade / glazing companies, high-rise residential or commercial projects. Prior experience handling client billing independently is mandatory.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Understanding of rate analysis, wastage norms, installation tolerances, and contractual clauses related to billing.
Experience with Microsoft Office and expert-level MS Excel is mandatory. Better prospects if worked in MIS & ERP. Preferred candidates if worked in project-wise billing.
