| Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Scheduling and Planning: • Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules for the mechanical seal line, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and customer orders. • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to streamline production processes and ensure timely delivery of products. 2. Inventory and Resource Management: • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to balance supply and demand effectively. • Work closely with procurement to ensure the timely acquisition of necessary materials while minimizing excess inventory. 3. Process Optimization: • Analyse and enhance production workflows to increase efficiency and reduce costs in the mechanical seal manufacturing process. • Implement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement strategies to optimize production performance. 4. Quality Control and Compliance: • Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry regulations in all production activities. • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any production issues and maintain high product quality. 5. Data Analysis and Reporting: • Utilize production data to generate detailed reports on performance metrics, production efficiency, and inventory status. • Identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis. 6. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: • Address and resolve production issues, including delays, equipment malfunctions, and resource shortages. • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to solve complex production problems and implement effective solutions. 7. Leadership and Team Management: • Lead and mentor a team of production planners and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. • Provide guidance and training to ensure team members are equipped to handle their responsibilities effectively. • Skills: • In-depth knowledge of mechanical seal manufacturing processes and industry standards. • Advanced proficiency in production planning and inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems). • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and leadership abilities. • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar is highly desirable. • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Working Conditions: • Office environment with periodic visits to the manufacturing floor. • May require extended hours or occasional travel depending on production demands.
